Wiesenthau Castle is privately owned and has retained its authentic, historical, and in some parts very rustic character. Those who stay here will feel the breath of past centuries with all its idiosyncrasies. Please note that we, as the organizers, are solely responsible for hosting the ball evening. Any room bookings within the castle are made directly with the owner on your own responsibility.

A well-intentioned piece of advice for the afternoon: The historical stone walls exude an authentic chill during winter – keeping warming accessories such as shoulder capes or spencers at hand is highly recommended.

For those who prefer modern comfort, we recommend the nearby hotels in the immediate vicinity. However, we urgently ask you to observe the following logistical details for New Year's Eve:

• No Walking at Night: The roads between the villages lead along unlit routes and are neither safe nor passable at night, especially in historical evening attire.
• Massive Shortage of Taxis on New Year's Eve: Experience has shown that the few taxi companies in the Forchheim area are completely fully booked due to the city's festivities. Spontaneous calls on the night of the ball will unfortunately be unsuccessful.
• Our Urgent Request: If you rely on a taxi, it is absolutely essential that you book it bindingly weeks in advance.
• Carpooling: Entirely in the spirit of »Le Bon Genre«, we warmly advise our arriving guests to form carpools for the short trips between venues. Please feel free to contact us in advance for coordination purposes.
