Peter Hoffmann - Just me

Allow me to introduce myself

Peter Hoffmann – Just me.

Diploma Designer, Dancing Master, Choreographer, Event Manager
and historical dancer –
from the Middle Ages over Empire & Regency
up to Ragtime & Swing.

For over 40 years, more precisely since 1984, I have dedicated myself body and soul to historical dance. During this long time, my heart has been filled with countless, unforgettable moments: Whether at Wiesenthau Castle, Rothenfels Castle, Alteglofsheim Castle or at magical places in Italy such as Cortona, Urbino, Saluzzo, and Ferrara – everywhere I was allowed to learn from internationally recognized experts, dance, and dive deep into this fascinating art.

Through all these intense experiences and formative encounters in the dance world, it is a deep need for me not only to keep historical dance alive but to pass it on full of passion. In my courses, at my balls, and within our wonderful community, I share my extensive knowledge from the most diverse eras.

My goal is to treat historical representation in my work, in dance and music reconstructions as well as at events with the highest respect and to convey an authentic picture. At the same time, it is important to me to appeal to modern tastes so that this art form remains attractive and lively.

Particularly close to my heart is my own, unique approach to the reconstruction and preservation of historical dance, which I developed after my master class for Baroque dance at the beginning of the millennium. For me, it is never just about teaching steps. I want to pass on to my students and guests exactly those intense experiences, this elegance, and the sublime feelings that I was allowed to experience on the dance floor myself.
